Love the reliability of solar watches. Did Casio nick the idea from citizen or vice versa?

  5. I really don't know. I had an early Casio solar in the 80's when I was a yoof, if you can believe that? I love the F91W, soo retro.

I’ve only recently started buying solar watches. I had a citizen eco drive moon phase bought me for my 50th a few years back and liked it. It was £475 though so quite a nice one. I have collected them when I see a nice one since.

This one. I still have it in it’s box it’s mint

  8. Must admit, I love the Casio's, a genuine watch for not much money, but I'm more of a mechanical watch type guy. Not that you sound like you need any encouragement but, if you can find one of these before stocks dry up, it's a douzy.

I’ve just bought 3 old 80’s refurbed seiko automatics from India for £100 posted. They all need a proper service, but have nice faces and new straps.

No. Not this time maybe when I have no one here and can get them out without scrutiny and being asked where and why ;)

My latest citizen bought in the Argos sale at Christmas as a present by my Mrs. It’s a sort of homage to the omega James Bond, but usable in everyday life without worry. £129 in the sale.

  16. I like that, here's my favourite Seamaster homage as a beater. Sapphire double domed crystal and a ceramic bezel insert
