I know this will be a school boy issue to most.....

I’ve got a piece of 10mm copper stuck in the top of my steering fluid bottle to top it up and now think I’m a mechanical genius. :)

  2. Just get an empty gear oil container , fill that with engine oil and use pull out nozzle put in filler tube and hey presto . Keep spare bottle between battery and rear light on both sides , hence you have 2 Ltrs spare oil with you all the time

  3. It is borderline genius. Possibly depending heavily on what confined space you choose.

I use one of the long nosed Sealey flexi plastic oil filler jugs which worked better after half the flexi spout bit snapped off on a very cold morning a few years back..
Fill with oil. Guide tip of spout into filler while right way up. Invert jug and wait. (dependent on temperature and viscosity of oil, this can take a while). In its sawn-off guise you can balance it on the oil bath air cleaner and go off and have a cuppa while it does its stuff. Or it falls off as you let go and it makes everything oily.

I think I’ve actually surpassed electrical engineer abilities ;)

Just make sure you put the cap on! I left it off once and it makes for a crappy afternoon.

  8. I've found the next one already.

Passenger door locks and unlocks fine from outside.
opens from inside, and the latch will stop the opening lever unlocking it from inside but..... if you lock it from inside, it still opens from outside, no idea where to start on that.
