Having a off moment i began to look at danburys and this made me smile - a 2005 Braziliant in for refurb http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005-Danbury-Rio-VW-Camper-Ready-Go-12-Months-WARRANTY-/260860662237?pt=UK_Campers_Caravans_Motorhomes&hash=item3cbc81d1dd
i'm not against them at all but it just goes to show , 36000 miles and it needs a new steering box etc , i don't think thats good unless the owners never took much care of it ???
Possibly a hire vehicle, one owner, many drivers to knock the guts out of it. Chances are the engine and clutch will have taken a pasting too if it was hired out. If it wasn't then it will neatly illustrate the belief that the build quality of the new T2 is very poor ie shoddy paintwork and poor mechanicals.
i thought it had been abused 36k should be ok if its your dream van and you have just spent that much on it !. i don't think i would buy it .
Guy on the Lotus forum has got one, bought nearly new, 2007 model. He has just had it fully resprayed because of the poor quality / durability of the original paint finish. Had to underseal it properly too.
