Dicky and I were discussing hydraulic clutch conversions for late bays recently...had a moochy around the web for info...various options from cobble- togethers to bespoke kits....anyone gone down this route, and if so, how did they fare? Doesn't seem too involved...modified pedal...master cylinder with remote reservoir...solid line (or Goodridge braided)....slave cylinder....bracketry....adjustable pushrod...anyone done this with pics?
To put some meat on the bones its to improve driveability with a heavy clutch (kenedy etc) when youve fitted one cos youve a pokey engine! Im thinking possibly T25 slave will fit! If so then the hard bits the pedal.
saw a good pic of a T25 master cylinder bolted behind the pedal...pedal has a tab welded on to carry the pushrod....slave bolted to g/box housing via a homemade bracket...slave pushrod needs to be altered so an adjustable one seems like a good bet...
wrong thread.Btw. Put @ and then start to write the name - you will get suggestions that you need to click on
yes, jury is out - developed annoying misfire under load rotor arm and cap supplied are poo.... gonna play with coil/leads this weekend to see if I've knocked anything.,
T25 bellhousing on bay box with modded slave mount... I got that far, and have the T25 clutch MC installed... then I picked up the Porsche 915 box, and I've not got back into it yet
With all these mods going on.....you might as well buy a bongo ,it would cheaper loool...with all mods i could do with ,will cost a small fortune....this clutch one looks a gooden tho for us with knee and.ankle problems
I've not got any of it, I think I was in the prototyping stage, so I was working things out before I photo'd them!! I will check for photos tho... mine's a lefty, so I have got it tucked up inside the chassis so you can't really see it!!
no worries. it does sound do-able by vurtue of the fact you seem to have mostly done it. And they said I was mad!!!!
I love technical challenges, was one of the reasons why I was doing it... That and the fact I'm using a kennedy stage 2 clutch on a 228mm flywheel... is a tad heavy!!
Considering the issues some of the scoobie boys have I would have thought this would be a popular choice!
