Whilst performing my morning ablutions i read an article in one of the myriad of magazines in our toilet house and it was about health eating and longevity , apparantly by the turn of this century we could have a life expectancy of 110 years obviously this depends on where you live health care etc , in some places and dependant on wealth you may even live quite easily to 125 years .

Mr Burns Holmer Simpsons boss springs to mind decrepit and still going

i don't think i would want to live for 125 years , i'm only 50 and my bodys already giving up my minds very suspect and i am beginning to look forward to being officially diagnosed with oldtimers , at least it will give me an excuse for being dim witted .

75 /80 will do me god willing , how about you ?.

  2. old enough so I can enjoy a few years retired.

    70 if I retire at 60
65 if I reture at 50 (fingers crossed!)

  3. first up - i'd like to stay the age i am now forever ....

it all depends how healthy i am when i am older - we had a family friend who was still fit and well at 80 - still having sex with french women and still laughing and joking.

but then again you get people who are old and in homes by 80 ....

i just want to enjoy life the best i can for as long as i can

  4. 90 would be good. But if I could live till 125 in good health and in fine form then I'd be more than happy. You know, scientists have said that it may be possible to live much longer than that in future. That would result in a mass increase in world population. There's plently of space. But if the world's population grew to twice the size as it is now then there simply wouldn't be enough food to go round - which is basically what finished off dinosaurs (after the planet got hit by a massive meteorite).

  5. I'll just be happy to see my kids grow up and turn in to decent adults who make a better job of life than there Dad has done. It would be nice to be around long enough to see them start and raise their own families.

Now i don't really exercise like i used to and although i am starting to eat slightly more healthy i reckon the years of hard drinking and hard drugs will impact on me living that long. I'll happily go on as long as the body & mind will allow me to but id rather avoid being useless and not able to fend for myself.

  11. I want to go by suprise when i get too old/ill to care for my own basic needs

People have there own lives to live not to be burdend by me

I used to be scared of death untill i had a few very close encounters

Now i worry that once ive gone have i done enough to teach my kids the skills they need to survive and prosper on there own

  12. Every day above ground is a good day.

I thought 27 was going to be my age but it turned out I wasn't rock'n'roll as I thought. :)

  13. Thats an interesting question!! I have loved most of my twenties and thirties.. I like to think I keep busy, eat as healthy as I can although the exercise is mainly running around after the 4 kids, old man an puppy!! and have a positive outlook on life.. the older I get the more I feel that when its your time to go its your time to go..

(l find freaky accidents possibly help my personal theory.. like a plane crash where there is only one survivor?? )

..I obviously have the same worries as most regarding my children and hope I still live long enough that the boys (babies) will remember me and that I have taught them some good sound grounding to have a wonderful life whatever age they are..

I also think the problem is I don't FEEL my age at all!!! I still feel around the late twenties mark (except if I go out on a bender!!) so for a number I shall say 28 :)

My nanny was an amazing lady, always out and about doing something, always busy, one day she was here and the next she had gone, very suddenly, very peaceful, very upsetting but.. that's definitely how I would like to go, if I get a choice in the matter ..

  14. Unfortunately most men in my family cash in their chips around 55/60 years old. If I get to 61 I will celebrate by going base jumping, mountains climing or bungee jumping! :)

  15. I have just decided that I am NOT going to go... Sorry... You're all stuck with me...

  16. In my genetic make up I've got a heart attack, bowel cancer or nasty vicious senility to look forward to.

I've given up on health lifestyles and decided to just enjoy myself as much as possible and hope that the heart attack takes me before I start pooing in a bag or smearing it up the walls!
