Non smoker - I bought a pack, smoked a few, a long time ago but a girl I knew at the time grabbed the pack off me and threw them away.
As the fags just made me feel like breathing slightly pleasant smoke, and not as pleasant as one I was passed at a party, I never bothered again with smoking anything.

 

Tried a cigar when I was about 13 ,put me off for life ,besides it cost an arm and a leg

I smoke roll ups these days, helped me halve my consumption.
I'm an expert on giving up, I've tried everything from gum to patches and even hypnotism ........... none worked for any length of time.

 

I stopped 8 years ago. Feel million times better, but probably too late. My dad has COPD (lung disease) and is on 16 hours a day oxygen. He stopped 2o years ago.

 

actually when i went to buy something expensive/outlandish that i wanted i countered the disapproving look from the mrs with " hey i look what a saved from not smoking " after 10 years i think its starting to get a bit thin

 

I been off them for almost a year, I gave up on my sixtieth birthday at the end of last April. Did it for me, and mostly so I could breath again. The book helped immensly, so if anyone really wants to have a crack at it and have a good chance of actually doing it. Id seriously recommend it.
