How many nights camping have you managed in 2018 so far?

2 in England, 5 in Normandy so far. And loads of day trips to the beach here in Dorset. Hoping to get to the Gower in the next week or two.

 

It would be great to see everyone but it`s 50/50 at the moment .Bloke making me some cabinates is on his jollies until the 2nd week in September ...

Since I got made redundant in Jan I was both so freaked about dosh and so cross about my idiot boss (who got the push weeks later for being a useless *****) I just wasn’t in the mood.
Then we did the Harley garage which is ‘im indoors’ thing rather than mine, which was a journey. And now I’m regretting not just taking off for a month, Free Bird style. We might not have a summer like that one again for a while.
Coulda shoulda etc.
But I did write the website for Grizzly’s, mastering Wordpress in the process so not a completely wasted few months.

There used to be a massive Harley showroom near me. Closed down about 4 years ago. Why I got no idea majority of bikes where sold, weekend hundred of bikers would meet up. I miss that place.

 

Yeah HD in the US whittled the main dealers down to a handful. We don’t sell new bikes though. Just customising - what IS it with Harley owners that they can’t stick to a stock bike?! - servicing, repairs and the odd second hand sale. BUT in the medium term we’d love to evolve into a biker hangout. Come and get your bike fixed, have a coffee and a burger while you’re there and go kick some tyres and chat. Everyone I’ve met so far has been completely lovely and dead interesting.

 

I know. when I had my first "resto" done by the end of it I just handed over the asked for and agreed sum and drove off as fast as possible.. and finished it myself..mostly messed up window winders and fitting door seals...

 

Unfortunately only 2 nights thus far............

 

I wish i'd learned to ride a motorbike when i was 17. Bit late at 42 to do it now and its a helluva lot more expensive than it used to be.
Have half my facebook feed is VWs and the other pages are cafe racers.
