It's a Gene Berg design so you could try adding that to a search.

 

Interesting numbers! Without a cooler, much the same as my experience, although my oil temp tends to top out at 125º if I really abuse the engine.

 

Have tried that but nobody in uk sells them as far as I can tell! Ice pug was trying to get a group buy together earlier in the year so will add my name to his list!

 

If you're keen, buy stuff straight from Berg in CA. They're pretty good. Meself, I wouldn't fit one of the dipstick switch things - it'll drive you mad...

 

I hear you but if I can preset it then I can do so at 130 that way hopefully it won't come on unless I am really getting hot!

 

So do you guys hold the end of the dipstick, or the bit inside the engine? I can hold the top bit ok, but not the bottom bit.

 

The top bit. The other end's going to be mighty hot ...

I chose a setup that can be fitted with the engine in with no drilling or tapping so I could go back to stock if it didnt work out.
I have written it up and when I have added some pictures I will put it in the How To section once I have put a thousand miles on the setup.

 

Have you tried the jam thermometer yet?
