horn stopped working

Hi hope someone out there can help..... I had to fit a new indicator stalk to my camper and my horn no longer works . I have checked the fuses and all are ok beyond that I'm confused. ???

 

Did you remove the steering wheel to do the indicator stalk? If so check you reconnected the horn wire, it's the one that comes up through the steering column and fits to the metal ring under the horn push. Was it working fine before?

 

I did reconnect the wire (that was my first thought that I'd forgotten to do it) and yes the horn was working perfectly before.

 

Did you pull the wire - it fits on a spade inside the bottom of the column

Have you tested your horn directly ???

 

Yeah, test the horn first..

I did a similar think with the steering wheel, then the horn worked intermittently..
I spent hours taking apart and examining the button and wiring..

It was a coincidence that the horn was packing-in..
£7 later a the local auto shop, and 5mins to exchange, all good.
