We took the family down in Sandy for 3 nights on the way to Cornwall this summer and it was brilliant, a proper 'if carlsberg could do campsites' here's the link http://www.karrageen.co.uk There was plenty of bays and because of the narrow roads no mahoosive motor homes, unlike our Cornish site we went to later in the week. The kids loved it and they just ran around for hours, a mile walk through the fields was Hope Cove and the beach, together with the Hope and Anchor pub, where we ended up most afternoons after messing in the rock pools. The site was great and the owners did more than enough to make you feel at home. The showers, whilst 20p a go were spotless and always warm. Other campers were very friendly it was a real community that we did not want to leave, we were just down the road from Salcombe and Dartmouth and the rest of the South Hams coastline. Loved it Go, you will not regret it!
