Holes on top of the dash...!

So - I've been trying to sort out wiring for various bits in the dash - and I suddenly notice that I had some odd holes in the dash, the looked as though something was original designed to go in them ... any ideas? (there are two of them - one on each side) I'm wanting to put a CHT gauge in over the winter and think a pod on top of the one on the drivers side could be the neatest solution...

^this. They’re for the dash demist vents. Your plastic “antlers” under the dash connect them to the heater totem pole.

Exactly those.

 

If anyone needs some of plastic heater pipes/antlers and possibly the vents get in touch with @scrooge95 , she had a box full at techenders.

Well - there you go - learn something new every day! I don't think there's anything underneath in the way of plastic tubing and the hot air for the bak has never worked in all the time I've had the van...

 

Please, just make sure it's not for a water cooler only, air cooled heads get much hotter.

 

It's definitely for an air-cooled! I think It's good up to +400 deg C
