  1. Welcome to the site & hope your search for a camper is fruitful, you say in your original post that you have 5 boys  I'm not being nosey but this may effect which camper conversion you need to transport, seat & sleep yourself, partner/husband? & 5 boys...

If you clarify what your needs are then someone will be able to recommend a suitable conversion to suit your family & needs...

Good luck with your search

  2. That devon will have 2 hammocks up top ,3/4 double downstairs plus you could add a cab hammock ,kinda thinking there going to need a large drive a way awning as well :)
Dont think even the super viking could cope with all that.

  3. After reading the original post I was a bit  but it depends, the important bit is transporting all those bodies to camp! If its a total of 6 then she will need three seats up front & a full width bed in the back all fitted with seat belts for safety, if its 7 then I wouldn't know what to suggest... Like you say I don't think the sleeping would be an issue if a drive away awning is used  I reckon Dicky could fit at least 6 in his roof tho :D

  7. I've wanted one since I first passed my test at 17 but bring a skint student stopped me in the early days and then travelling and a nightmare early marriage but a stop to my dream for years. Then a second marriage to my now husband Ian and 5 boys later I'm still searching but have finally got a small, very small amount put by and am just fed up of waiting and desperate to get one before I'm a flaming pensioner!!!! The older boys, 17,14 & 13 would go in an awning and the smaller two, six years and almost three could hopefully kip in the bus with us. I was thinking perhaps a bench up front for three of us and hoping to get four seats somehow out of the rear?? Am I being unrealistic??

  8. No need if youve get the Devon ,perfect wardrobe atn the front for putting the laptop on :)

  9. you can get a tv usb dongle for £15

  10. Have you considered a Type 25? That's what I'd be looking at with your budget. I think you'd be buying a headache T2 at that price.

  11. I have but I just don't like them, I know that's being a bit of a mard arse but its kind of like settling for a moped if you really want a motorbike, for me anyway, sorry if I've offended any T25 owners with that comment. I wasn't meaning that they're a lesser bus in any way, that's just may way of thinking about it.

  15. Thanks Sick Boy, that's really good of you, I don't actually know anyone personally that had a VW bus so it's difficult for me to really know what I'm going to look at:( !!

That bus linked looks good for the money.
Anything in your price bracket is likely to either be a basket case or get snapped up in minutes.
You're going to need a full width bed and a front bench to transport 6 of you, and I've got no idea how you'd transport 7. Check you're covered when it comes to insurance time too.
    Good luck

  17. Poptop2 I should have got a TV years ago I think;)
