Hi all, I'm Dan and I'm from down town Basildon in Essex. My wife and I both share our VW T2 camper we just got around five weeks ago. We call him BOB. I have purchased him knowing I will be doing different jobs on him. My wife found him whilst out on our dogs walk one sunny afternoon. The fella that owned him was getting him ready to sell at the Battles Bridge Essex VW meet on the following weekend. We both went back and I started to imagine him as ours. I then purchased him days later. He didn't go to the show. In the past five weeks I have first off ran him around locally to suss him out. We then took him camping a week later to Yarmouth and ran all round up there for a week. When we first got him he showed 93750 miles on the clock now reading 95257 and the clock does work properly. Wow 1507 miles. It flew by. And my posterior can vouch for the time. The engine is like a sewing machine. I can not imagine ripping his heart out and replacing that sweet lil motor for a Porsche one. Never say never , but not now. We are off down to Folkestone in Kent for the next week. I'll post up the trip and how we got on. I'm looking forward to using this site and will be back soon. laters , Bob, Dan and Giselle.
Welcome aboard from the north! Bob looks a good 'un - treat him right and he will repay the favour... (more often than not anyway...)
looking back at the old mot test milage history he's only done 509 since 2013. There's no holding him back, he cannot wait to get back on the open road and head for the beach.
Welcome from Sunny Barnsley Watch out for Bazza, say's he's from East Grinstead but he's actually from Nigeria - do not give him your bank details!!! and if Suss asks you to help him out in his shed, run for it
