Managed to get time to take the roof off today. Split the outer Ali ring from the main cap and split the bellows from the main cap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Anyone know how the skirt is attached? I can see screws down the inside the probably holds it on but did they glue the skirt to the wood the packs out the roof cut? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Cargo floors are getting tricky to get hold of genuine so I'd repair it if you can. Doesn't look too bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah as are most parts.. floor has been soaking wet though - maybe from the undersealed roof or maybe under that skirt where the rivets come through.. either way the ply floor and home underlay covered with interior floor tiles hasn't helped much. Think you're right for the moment though I'll clean up the surface rust and just do the front and rear corners that are shot. Need to chop an access panel to fix the fuel sender whilst everything's out so that's one of the next on the list.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Split the roof vent section and removed the strengthening bars from the roof cap today .. question though if anyone knows .. he had bodged the aluminium vent ring with under seal and mastic and kisses but now I'm doing it properly .. I know you can buy the roof vent and the funnel part that are plastic from pop top parts but does that replace the aluminium one I've pictured here cos the is a recess that had about a 1/10 of a seal in there .. not sure if I need to fit this again and then the plastic funnel fits over this one?! If that makes any sense lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Managed to clean up the aluminium frame and get all the under seal off .. pleased how well it came up. I've decided to just buy a new sheet of aluminium on Monday and cut the roof vent section out new. Fresh metal fresh rivets should stop the leaks.. thinking of wrapping the sheet with a marine vinyl to cover the rivets but not sure where to get it from? Any ideas peeps? Got the roof lifter bars part stripped but ran out of time to finish them off today so I'll hopefully get back to them tomorrow.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Thought I'd try and restore the skylight lifters - I think these are probably Devon originals so thought I'd break them open and spruce them up.. refitting the springs is a two man job unless you've got 3 and a half hands lol Spring were seized to buggery but piping like new now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Bit more time at the workshop today so managed to cut grind and smash off the rest of the old inner valance.. new one nearly ready to mark up and weld up .. hopefully Friday will bring some spare time!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Quite pleased about just buying a genuine fit and not cheating it on a cheap repro.. fits pretty much spot on.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
What Mini is in the background? I have a bit of a soft spot for these (just sold a 1275GT but have another to finish )

Decided to reverse a bit as I was doing a fresh inner valance, def panel and A post repairs.. it was showing nice signs of rust around the wiper stalks so though sod it might as well replace the front cap at the same time and check behind.. Screen came out a treat, so chopping the front off tomorrow..
Bugger!! Inner screen was like mush.. has anyone got any idea where you can get a flipping Full Width Inner Screen Repair Panel 1967–1979 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
