Help with heater control cable

I got this clip:-



For this cable:-




The problem is I'm not sure what route the cable takes & the orientation of the cable & which hole it goes into I think I've guessed the clip position.


Pictures would be very helpful. Thank you in advance.

 

Theres supposed to be a cable attached to that? ???

Looks like its missing from my westy. :'(

is that a new cable or is it just that you were missing the clip?

 

no it is connected to a spring that connects to the flap in the heater tree just to the right, i believe

I had to remove my JK shelf to get to it though.

No I don't but I could do with a new one.

 

Just Kampers have this cable in their current catalogue. (£17.50)
The bad news is that it is only for August '72- July '75 buses. Furthermore they don't state whether it is for LHD or RHD - the cables are different.
However, I can get the correct cable, NOS, for August '75 onwards buses, LHD only.
