so barrels and pistons back on ready for new head !!

but here this be my problem as u guys found it for me

 

I am glad to see you are getting a replacement head and you will be back on the road soon.

As the guides are machined tubes then one day when the price of heads is even more sky high somebody will be able to machine a new one to fit at a price less than a new head.




All I remember of Leeds is a lot of curry houses and fat birds in miniskirts and fishnet tights queueing to get into nightclubs on a frosty night.

 

Blimey! You were lucky that didn't come apart. Was it easy to pull out of the head?

 

It dropped out buddy when valve came out lol

 

Have you measured the OD of the guide?

 

He does not need too, It wasn't big enough

 

More me being inquisitive with it being a vw rework head

The guide was fitted too far out

 

No ill measure it tomoz buddy do u no the 2 sizes as it's very worn

Pandoras box ive found when asking them sort of questions

 

Stock size is 12.00mm, and I can buy 2, 5 8, and 10 thou oversize guides - But that said, vw liked to knock up custom ones, as I've got a set of reworks here that have custom sizes in that I can't get, so I'll have to make some guides for those heads

 

Possibly tomoz iv fitted the barrels and pistons ready for head xx
