Basically I am having a right nightmare my bay wont start and when it does after driving it for 5 mins it dies. I am not getting any spark

    What I've done.

    New coil
    New dizzy
    New plugs
    New ECU
    Taped up vacuum hoses
    Checked fuel pump is working
    Running out of ideas

There'll be no shortage of informed replies but, from a simplistic newbie-ish point of view .... "Dirt" in the fuel filter?

To my untrained ear that sounds like "one two three, skip one"

  4. When it's running it's really smooth, I sorted the timing out

  5. Might be where i took the ht leAd out to check for a spark and didnt put back properly

  7. I managed to replace distriburor, cap , electronic ignition, leads, plugs on a service.. left out rotor arm...
Is there power at the coil and does it get a connection through neg terminal when 'points' open?

  9. As per the other thread you started, have you checked the fuel filter. FI is massively tetchy about a perfect fuel supply and pressure to give the right amount to the injectors.

If you’ve done all the other bits, ie spark, air etc then I’d suggest it’s fuel, plus it’s a very quick and easy thing to check and fix.

You mean .... I might ACTUALLY be right ?!
I know I'm 5hit hot at diagnosing body pain etc but this would be a new high for me :D

  11. was the rotor arm also replaced. have you checked for strong spark at each plug, take the plug out and check spark at the plug gap and are the gaps in spec. You said 'not getting any spark' what do you mean by that.
