Welcome, love the colour, Savannah Beige I think? That's what I'm going for when I get to that point.

  7. welcome aboard...
nice looking bus ..love the roof...

your lucky a few new owners take the van home /out and end up with an engine bay fire,
check out your fuel lines for cracking and look out for plastic filters in the engine bay and dodgy pipe connectors
spend a couple of quid now and you should minimize the fire risk,

  8. Fuel filter by tank changed, fuel filter in engine bay removed, rubber fuel pipes renewed, but I have a plastic pipe through the bulkhead into the engine bay, which I guess was a steel tube before? Is this normal/ok?

Personally wasn't happy with the rubber pipe squeezing through tinware so drilled the hole bigger and put a rubber grommet in to run it through.

  10. So you have a rubber pipe straight throught from tank? I'm not sure here this thin plastic pipe came from?

Maybe that's the original set up, I don't know but seems like two extra joints potentially to leak?

  13. I think your van is lovely... But wouldn't be driving at those speeds... Mine gets to 70 every now and again when I don't realise but as soon as I notice she sit comfortably at 60 but they are all different... Hope you've managed to sort the issues :) sounds like you've got a plan for it anyway xxx

  14. hello

  16. No going above 65 either ,I promise you you'll regret it

  17. Hi and welcome Chris.

  18. Welcome mate. You'll have lots of fantastic times in your bus.. Enjoy.:) Run to the Sun then at the end of May:beer: Had some great laughs at that show in the 90's, cant remeber much but i was there:beer:

  19. Welcome Chris, I have a 78 Devon too - the poptop variant and she actually started life in Newquay.

Re. your plastic pipe - not 100% without seeing a picture but doesn't sound right to me. I am guessing that this should be a metal fuel line that comes around on the left hand side on engine (as you look at it) and connects to the fuel pump. If so, this is the part you need http://www.justkampers.com/search/result/?q=J14195 assuming you are 1600.

  20. Yes that's the one, which is plastic on mine! I think to remove a potials problem joint I'm going to increase the size of the hole and run a rubber fuel line right to the filter by the tank!
