just looked under mine, pipe comes from front of van, seems to be slightly to the o/s then goes over the two cables in the direction of n/s and into connection. i dont think this is a good idea though, might cause friction marks/wears, but i think my heater tubes are original so seems to me that this is not a problem really. you can roughly see it on the picture posted of the bus on its side. This looks like the right option. I havent got round to getting on the ramps yet but when i do i will post a pic. PSG
Here's the fellow (strange bottle-shaped thing in dotted line): Try someone like Megabus for second-hand hoses. I reckon original is best: they're bendy, insulated (sort-of) and waterproof. PSG: your undersides are completely original and in good nick (I've grovelled under Vinnie in the past).
Snotty I believe that bottle thing is for diverting the air to the rear cab heating. I have a panel conversion so don't have them.
yeah paper. where the rubber has perished at the ends, i just loosened the jubilee bands and pushed the hose along further to secure on a no perished part. I cant remember whether it goes over front beam, but i would presume this is the safest route, and if i were re-fitting this pipe like you, i would chose that route as there is no crush risk. PSG
Someones nicked yer pipe mate!! can this not be done front to back with flexi (I like the look of the screwfix stuff tbh)
Pic No 2 is where your bottle-valve would go, if you had one. The valve acts as a reducer...not sure what panel vans had!
Does anybody else think this screwfix stuff is any cop? Might be worth running a length of that, going to be cheaper.
its cheaper and looks ok, i would probably want to wrap it with duct tape though for durability or something similar, if not just to get it looking black.. From what i have seen of this, it is flimsy and plasticy, but would definitely do the job. Maybe splint it with some garden cane under the duct tape or similar to stop it from sagging. Reckon its a thumbs up tho. PSG
