Anyone know the final torque for the cylinder head nuts on a post 73 helicoiled 1600 case, me haynes says that it increased from 23 ft lbs to 18 which makes no sense and a search on the net comes up with anything from 18 to 30!!!!

    Cheers Dave.

  2. I believe that if they are 8mm studs then its around 18lbs and if there 10mm studs its around 23lbs
    From memory

  4. If you've got 8mm studs with case savers, I'd go for 23lb/ft
