Has anyone fitted a remote servo to a 72-74 bay?

  1. You could have a plate welded onto the beam and use VW's intended one.... Although I hear aligning them is a tricky operation

  2. I am thinking this but I would need to source the bracket.

is there a How To out there?

  3. Remote servos are fine things...but you need to find one with a dual-circuit cylinder on. The ones in your link are only single circuit.

There is a company that sells one - can't remember who, they're about £300, as I recall.

  4. Cheers Snotty. I will get to google. By the time I have sourced a servo, new master cylinder paid for welding and all the gubbins it wont be far off £300.

  5. Zed ....(remember him ) had some Brazilian hole center brackets made up ... you could track him down over on blunderpussies.com

  6. Is Zedders not about on here any more?

  7. I was tempted, but it was a bit pricey. Remote servos are a lot less hassle.
