Gearbox seal,

hi there has anyone changed a nose cone seal on a vw t2 , can't figure out how to do it,

 

First step - take the nose cone off . Hard to do when the hockey stick’s in the way. The seal may also be peened in.

 

Hi there, does the gearbox have to come out there is not much room to get the nose cone of,

 

yes you need to remove the gearbox as the torsion bar is in the way.

 

Probably best to wait until you take the box out. You're not going to lose a lot of oil from the hockey stick seal - just a drip.
