Mine took a 3ft breakerbar and a 2ft length of scaffold - let out an almighty crack when it came undone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
One of the problems with over tight drain plugs is spreading the hexagon to the point the plug splits at the hexagon angles. I use a piece of 22mm ID tube around the plug to stop it spreading.
Just get an electric heat gun blowing on it for ten minutes or so, that will not melt anything but get it bloody hot. It will loosen nicely. Tony
WELL! I'm feeling very smug ... All your suggestions went into the sleep time melting pot and I woke this morning with an idea. The problems were the shoulder and the lack of space for long levers, and the ratchet being 1/4 inch only, with a shortish handle. You know how in "martial" arts there's this whole thing of using the weight and force of your opponent, and your own limitations, to your own advantage? I thought I'd use the weight of the bus, and take advantage of the cramped space and short levers. In case the diagram doesn't make it clear ... Jack it up Put a couple of concrete blocks under Put the ratchet in so the handle is lined up well and has nowhere to go. Let down the jack. The angles meant I had to do three of those before I could finish with 1 1/2 arm power Hive brain wins again

3½ litres, but you won’t drain every last drop so to refill will be a bit less. Fill until the level is at the bottom of the filler hole. GL-4 not GL-5.
