Hi guys, 73 Bay with type 4 engine. I am finding it very difficult to get second gear when changing up or down especially when the engine/gearbox warms up. Is this sort of problem usually linkage related or will the box have to come out? Any ideas before it goes in would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, cashwowud
And do the usual check on the coupler to the gear rod on the nose of the gearbox for wobbles and loose bits. Not so likely to be temperature dependent. Also make sure there is enough oil in the gearbox. Every little helps.
Hi guys and thanks for the input. There seems to have been a lot of posts recently regarding difficulty getting gears. Does anyone know of any links to how to set up the linkage from scratch or is it just trial and error? cashwowud
