gaskets

ok so i need to buy a gasket set for a 1600 twin port,

i actually only need the cylinder base gaskets but can only find sets, the thing is the picture of the set doesnt appear to have them in it.

anyone recommend a supplier i can get the above mentioned from?

Actually this may get a better reply if its in mech/tech

 

i never bother with them, just use a good quality sealer and you won't have any issues

i use loctite 5920 (copper silicon)

i take it thats what most people do as the gaskest set doesnt show the cylinder base rings

 

type 4 engines don't have them either

also the barrels should be a just slide fit into the case... so oil getting past them is a bad thing

 

Paul , not douting anyone that knows more than me but i`ve just rebuilt mine and my type 4 had them on and the new Elring set had them in so i fitted them, these are the barrel to case 0.1 thick alloy ones
