This winter I will be trying to replace the front panel including the def panel.
    Any tips?
Thinking of fitting a early bumper how easy is this ?

It’s worth spending time getting the panel to fit well round the a pillars. I had to rework ours once I’d welded everything in as it wasn’t pulled round all the way.
And make sure the windscreen aperture is the right size. Ours is a very tight fit, but does go in (I fitted a windscreen to a mates van today and it was dead easy getting the screen in compared to ours!)

  3. No expert but.... I put 2 ratchet straps round mine hooked to the seat runners. It pulled them into the posts well. Looks pretty good. Ive seen an awful lot worse many many times.

  4. You might find that you don't need to replace the whole thing. I replaced the inner/outer deformation panel and the inner and outer lower windscreen sections. This meant that I did not have to worry about the structure of the van. Schofields do all of these panels.

  5. It was the first panel I replaced on mine. Yes it was tight and a job to pull over the A pillars. My advice is be careful where you cut the old one from the top where it meets the A pillar quarter windows.
got mine a bit wrong and needed extra filler!. Don't know about early bumpers.
