Front panel replacement cost?

What would people expect to pay for a front panel / deformation panel / inner windscreen panel / inner front panel replacement and painting?

I know it's a how long is a bit of string question, but a rough estimate from people that have had it done or people that do it would be interesting to know.

 

£2000-2500

 

Cool, been quoted something around the middle of that with me supplying the panels, which didn't seem bad.

Its not a VW place, they usually work on Lotus cars/ run a race team but I've seen there work and it's very good.

 

£400 -500 on parts ?

 

£642 on panels

 

Inner panels have gone up

 

They certainly have, I'm sure they didn't cost that much when I looked previously.

 

Saw a front panel for £750 too, wonder if it's that much better that the cheaper one.

 

You sure your ordering the right front panel (front panel smooth) ? its a late bay with the smaller badge on the front?

I remember ordering mine at the time the smooth panel didn't exist only after i bought it cut the raised part-out for the badge and welded smooth because it was a earlybay and then they brought them out

 

Late bay with no badge mount, seems correct but perfect time to be corrected.

 

Blimey! Mine could do with doing under the windscreen. Looks like gorilla tape again...

 

Just doing mine be prepared for it to go up when they find the A pillers have gone

 

And possibly the washer bottle panel!

 

Just been to the workshop, it seems that washer panel needs work too, unfortunately it seems to be out of stock at Schofields

 

deformation replacement is a pig of a job

 

Think they’ve been NLA for quite some time. Repair is most likely the only option.

You can see it it's German heritage there - a pair of machine gun louvres, described as fresh air intakes for the overseas market.

 

That includes the pre order discount

Though I've just seen JK do the inber windscreen panel £35 cheaper.

 

Hmmmm , at least with schofield you`ve got a good chance it`ll fit ... ??
