Hi guys anyone out there fitted a freeway flyer gearbox or something similar, does it make a big difference to cruzing on main roads was looking at one from heritage but open to suggestions if anyone knows any better
How come a 1641 and big bore appere in the same sentence Mini Bungle is wright tho, bigger back wheels will do the trick
are these too big http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRACTOR-DIGGER-MACHINE-0R-IMPLEMENT-WHEELS-AND-TYRES-8-3-8-X-24-/250916752797?pt=UK_BOI_FarmingEquipment_RL&hash=item3a6bcdcd9d ;D
Don't forget that if you make your gears taller, your engines going to run out of grunt. A 1600 (or even a mighty 1641 ) just hasn't got the power for taller gearing. Slow the engine down when it's working hard, and you reduce the cooling as well.
but if you have twin carbs, better exhaust etc you have a bit more power to compensate for the taller gearing
I'm with the other guys... you really need to go with a bigger engine before you can go with a taller geared box!!
