  1. Hi guys anyone out there fitted a freeway flyer gearbox or something similar, does it make a big difference to cruzing on main roads was looking at one from heritage but open to suggestions if anyone knows any better

  2. What engine do you have in your van?

  3. 1641 big bore

  4. i just uped the rear wheel and tyre size a little for a bit better cruising

  5. How come a 1641 and big bore appere in the same sentence :)
Mini Bungle is wright tho, bigger back wheels will do the trick

  6. i wouldn't go for any more than 10% bigger

  7. fine but the wrong stud pattern

  8. Don't forget that if you make your gears taller, your engines going to run out of grunt. A 1600 (or even a mighty 1641 :) ) just hasn't got the power for taller gearing.

Slow the engine down when it's working hard, and you reduce the cooling as well.

  9. but if you have twin carbs, better exhaust etc you have a bit more power to compensate for the taller gearing

  10. I forgot the 'super street plus 'part of the title :D

  11. I'm with the other guys... you really need to go with a bigger engine before you can go with a taller geared box!!
