with a week of and family in barra the van was packed and ready to roll for its first big outing since i had bought it and overhauled it ,i stay in fort william so it was of to oban then a 5 hour ferry crossing to barra .......now its a very quiet place but all i wanted to do was fish so the wife hung around wife her family and of i went fishing with the father in law ,so an old world war 2 plane wreck and a sand doune scrap later .....it was time to move on after 4 days we deceided we would move on and went island hopin to lewis and then anynother ferry to skye and onto invernesss for the next day ,bar the good weather we got in barra it pee,ed it down the rest of the time gotta love scotish weather , anyhow the bay kept us dry and warm ..yes warmm lol and my wife and wee boy had a magic time ,and as for break downs ...none untill i parked it up outside or house when we got back thanks to a dodgy wire on the starter .it ran like a dream doing near 500 miles i love ma bay done
Did the Calmac Hopscotch last year. Wonderful place to visit, would love to go back again with Marge (tent last year) as there were some fantastic places where you could stop for the night, walked for miles on those beautiful beaches and never saw a soul.
