Interesting new nose that Mercedes are trying today.

 

^^looks barely strong enough to hold the front wing up! That wing also makes you realise how hideously complex an F1 cars aerodynamics are, every little element is on there for a reason.

 

Yeah - each time they add an element it creates another bit of turbulence which then needs another little element to stop that and then etc etc.
Rosberg admitted yesterday that they still have a lot in hand and aren't using all the cars potential and they are testing until something breaks but they don't yet know how fast it is - so yes they are sandbagging - but look formidably reliable already

 

now posponed until at least spain.

 

I read something in this earlier and Bernie blamed the technology not being in place for Aus... to which I call BS! Surely with all he money in F1 and the tech at their disposal this shouldn't take long!!

It's not like they're relying on stopwatches!

 

Good! One of the few things in F1 that doesn't need fixing is qualifying, Bernie is desperately trying to artificially mix up the grid to improve "the show".
I hate that expression in the context of F1, its a sport not bl***y Xfactor. By all means do something to make the racing closer via the technical regs but all this artificial stuff like DRS, rubbish tyres and so on really gets on my nerves.

 

A bit underwhelmed by the new Toro Rosso livery, looks more Red Bull than the Red Bull does.

 

Is it not red bull in sheep's clothing then?

 

it will beat the proper red bull this year.............. ferrari engined

 

That's what I was thinking, so maybe why they've made it look more red bull.

 

it is last years spec engine though.

Why would Infiniti out there name to that. I know they have been long term sponsors etc.

Just read it's TAG Heuer listed as the power unit.
