Ecclestone has also attracted headlines today for suggesting that F1 should build walls at the outside of corners to make the sport more appealing by being dangerous and used Fernando Alonso’s enormous accident at the Australian Grand Prix earlier this year as an example of how big crashes could add to the spectacle of Grand Prix events.

He said: “What we ought to do immediately that happens is have big sheets all the way around, bring the ambulance in and take him away. He’s gone to the hospital and later on you announce that, thank God, he’s out. A bit of showbiz. People like that.”

Bernie has really overstayed his welcome, by about 20 years.

 

RE: hurty foot. Kinda worked out ok for him didn't it. Given the miniscule margins between success and failure, and given he has to win every race to win the championship he needs to be absolutely physically and mentally on top of his game. He needs pole for every race and then to stay at the front for the duration... as for minor injury its likely a bout of cramp could even lose you a race. Its not lawn mower racing!

Serves VET right, with all his bitching about Verstappen moving under braking he goes & does the same thing in the first race where you're going to be penalised for it.

It was all a bit messy, but I think Vettel overstepped the mark by swearing at drivers and race officials!

Agreed he shouldn't have sworn but VES gave VET the ******er sign as well.

If VES hadn't backed VET up into RIC then nothing would have happened between them and to me it was a racing incident.
