Just had one, as I had flu in Feb that really knocked me off of my feet for 3 days! Literally couldn’t move, never want it again, so that’s why I had it. Anyone else have one? This years concoction contains vaccine for 4 types of the most ‘common’ strains of flu.
I’ve been in bed since Christmas Day with a nasty cold. Can’t shift it. I don’t believe it’s flu but it really awful. I think this is my most miserable Christmas ever
Sorry to " like " this post, but just got up after leaving my Xmas dinner and "going to bed for a bit". Unfortunately the flu jab doesn't work on cold, however bad.
I’m not sure that i ‘needed’ it, as I have a better diet, don’t smoke,drink tobacco and paper products any more. Just see if I get flu again, I suppose. I’m outside a lot, sweating, in this cold, dank weather, so I guess the system gets lower than it should. The injection was really to see if it puts up an extra few ‘gates’, on the germs path, so to speak. Just have to wait and see.
They were doing a discount offer on the Cough n Drop but as the nurse looked like Baz in drag I decided to decline.
No flu jab for last few years - ever since I felt lousy after last having a jab. But had a bad viral infection the week before Xmas - then Mrs Cunny got it - just left with a cough now - but immune from whatever it was - don't think it was flu but my kids said I wouldn't have had it if I had had a jab
Ha kids what da they know huh . You cant have jabs fa every strain anyway . The more jabs they sell the more money they make ,simple as that init . What ever happened to bird flu . They flu off
Beginning to wish I’d had the flu jab now. Still in bed aching from head to toe, daren’t cough and have a very high temperature and my head is pounding. Been here since Christmas Day
Me too Malc, im up and about at the moment but still a little wonky. Had a dose of shivers then sweats for a bit, that turned out to be partially my little sister, the more windows I opened in the bedroom, the more she cranked the heating up But I wasn’t thinking straight and might have been experiencing a little delirium as I had some very weird thoughts about sorting out the turkey before I went to sleep ??? Unlike me, I’ve not managed any food really just an odd bowl of soup , but I e been living on Ribena. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, I’ll be glad when it’s next year I thinks
