Flaps

  1. Nope , but then again I've stopped using it over winter . It's done it's fair share of being used as a daily so only the occasional bimble out between November and April these days...

    I raise you mine hasn’t either (as far as I know) and I have no oil temp/pressure gauge :)

  3. Decided to take thermostats out of both the wife’s Seat and my daily Audi :0

    So I have for sale
    1x seat Leon thermostat
    1x Audi A3 thermostat
    And
    1x VW type 1 thermostat

    Based on this thread, I'm going to take the thermostat out of the central heating when I get home, so will have a Bosch Greenstar 2000 thermostat for sale soon. :thumbsup: *

    My first bay didn’t have a thermostat or flaps I had it for 4 years drove it everyday to work and back, took it all around Europe on holidays never had a problem, my second bay did have a thermostat and flaps drove it everyday to work never had a problem with the engine although I did have a replacement gear box, my current van has no thermostat I’ve had it 5 years and it hasn’t blown up yet:thumbsup:

  6. I always used to rip the thermostats out of my old Fords and chuck them straight in the bin. First thing I did. You don't need them.
