  1. As it says in the title!

    Cheers

  2. Take your time, read the instructions and keep saying to yourself, 'think twice, cut once'.

You won't be doing much cutting but you get the gist.

  3. As above, take your time and follow your nose! Top tip: don't get trapped in it! Easy to do, and you feel a right idiot. BB are top kit.

  4. Take loads of pics as you do it as it will help others to do the job in the future

  5. fairly easy to fit. just loosely fit everything and then tighten it all up. this will allow you to make any small adjustments

  6. Found a big hole of rust on the wheel arch where one of the lower section arms is meant to screw to.......

Thats the bed fitting out of the window next week! Back onto door cards and sewing the covers for the rest of the day.

Pics is a good idea, am only really at the first stage so will take them from now on and post a how to.

  7. i have fitted a full one recently so any questions just ask

  9. Hi,

I fitted a 3/4 Bluebird RnR to mine, and it pretty much went in fine. Just make sure your floor is boarded as that needs to be done for the bed to sit right. My floor wasn't boarded originally and I just couldn't get it to sit right, so upon phoning Bluebird they told me the floor needs to be boarded before you start. The instructions don't actually say that, so I would advise that's what you do.

Also the strip which is in the kit that's supposed to be fixed to the bulkhead just beside the petrol tank; I would advise you leave that as it's really not required. I didn't fit that part and I've since used the bed and it's absolutely solid.

Any more info, just message me and I'll be glad to help :)

  10. Thanks mate, worried my floor is sitting to high as it looked like the horizontal back to front beams were sloping down towards the back/fitting point. Guess you had the opposite? Thats going to make it a tad harder for me to fix isnt it :D

  11. Hi mate,

Basically the result you're after is when your RnR is in the bed position, it sits level with the surface of the engine compartment.

In my case I needed to board my floor to achieve this, but my advice to you would be to assemble your RnR, and put it into the bed position (probably best to get someone to give you a hand with this as it's just a bit awkward). Then offer it up to the engine compartment and you'll be able to see what you need to do to get it sitting nice and straight.

Your situation seems to be the opposite of mine as you say, so I'm not sure what I'd recommend if your floor is sitting high. I guess it depends how much as you may be lucky and it could sit just right. The end result will be worth it though as it really is a good bit of kit. Best of luck mate! ;)

  12. Ok, finally got round to fitting it today, didnt take pictures though as it was hard enough trying to get it in.

One thing I have found and am not sure about is that the 'handle/hooked shaped thing on the end doesnt seem to have the nut sit in it when the seat is upright, layed flat the bed looks in a perfect position but no matter how much I play with it in the upright poistion I cant get it to sit where it should.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

  13. Hi mate,

In my van, I didn't bother fitting the hook shaped gizmo, as the RnR is perfectly easy to move about without it.

If yours is sitting well, and operates easily enough, I'd suggest you just leave it off :)

  14. I'd remove the hooky thing. Good idea, but can foul the side panel. A loop on the seat back serves the same purpose.

  15. Thanks guys

  16. by hook thing do you mean the easy handle?
the slot in the end only goes over the nut when putting the bed back to a seat. mine didnt line up very well and i had to bend it to make the curve tighter
if you remove this then it makes it harder to change back to a seat

  17.
  18. A little bump.
Can some post me up a photo of there's fitted.
The fitting institutions are shocking, I'm just not to sure, is the slight bigger section ment to be the base? Or the rear back rest?

  19. the base has two elongated loops on the bottom to lift the base when in the bed position where as the back rest is just flat

  20. That makes sense :)
    Thank you :)
