the fleet. The backwater of the mighty Chesil beach. Anyone lure fished it? I've always fished Chesil with beach caster, but never fished the fleet, lure fishing. I'm going to give it a bash on Sunday, but don't normally use lures. I managed to purchase a half decent lure rod and kit from our local boot sale last weekend,so I thought I'd give it a go. Anyone on here fished it with lures? Any advice will come in handy.
Got me a new motor for my little rowing boat, down there.Should be fun! (I’ll take the oars just in case).
Good luck and tight lines I’m not going fishing for another week or so, my fishing buddies have gone off to fish the River Ebro in Spain, that river has catfish to over 250lb
I managed to replace my bivvy, I couldn’t believe my luck, I told one of my customers how I had broken my bivvy and they said they had one in their garage, when I saw it I realised it was the same bivvy I had broken what’s the chances of that? I struck a deal and I’m as happy as Larry, he also gave me a stove and cool bag, result
When I was about 13, forty odd years ago, we were on hols in Weymouth. Went to Chesil Beach and Mackerel were “schoaling” bubbling up on the sea surface, about 50 metres from the beach. We cast feathers and were dragging 6 in at a time. After 3 casts it was time to pack in. So memorable, thought it was once in a life time thing until it happened again in Looe a year later. Great memories.
There’s a chap on one of my waters who fished out of his t5 camper. Luxury fishing. I have to admit to being a little jealous.
Wonder what that motor strapped to my kayak would be like ... new to sea lure fishing myself so no use to you there either...but if its bass your after the soft ones like slugs are are popular Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
I really should wear my glasses when I open TLB site, I keep reading the title of this thread as something completely different to fishing I keep thinking it says farming
Sod it, went yesterday instead. Never caught anything, but a crap days fishing is still better than a good days working!
Looks like ya boat could do with a spruce up and weed no self respecting fish would want to end their days laying in the bottom of that
@rustbucket and any other carpers, my mate has just rang me from Spain, he’s had a 41lb common from the river Ebro, picture to follow
I had a place near the Ebro , great river for fishing , as said cats too . My mate used to fish cats in Iran on frog !
