It all tastes good when you're hungry and someone else cooks it ,eaten outside improves the taste .For that hard to beat meal head to Harry ramsdens ,say no to mushy peas ,but them I'm a southern lad
We’ve got quite a few gooduns round here , I like haddock and cod and Huss when in season . Price is £7 quid that’s large n large chips enuff fa two easy . We use fish inn 2 and Double R Chinese run
They came in very nice cardboard boxes, probably expensive cardboard! ! Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
Bizzie Lizzies, Coach Street Skipton. The Fisherman, opposite the car park in Settle. Tip top chip shops! Both worth stopping at if your passing.
Not been to Bizzie Lizzies in yonks but it was very good then so presumably still very good . Billy Murgatroyds by Leeds Bradford Airport used to be good too. We had a great little chippy in our village, but then it changed hands and the quality seemed to go south
I can say hand on heart I have not frequented any of the afore mentioned establishments. Living in old Mosborough we have the choice of one of the 'Admiral' Franchise or the smaller chippie at the back of the village known by the locals at 'Tony's'. My old mum would insist her fish and chips came from Tony's where as I preferred the Admiral for the larger portions (I am a tubby fellow). However as the current Mrs T has pointed out it is only at 'Whitby's' of the Sheffield Parkway where I will eat the batter.......( I'm a fussy tubby fellow then)
Forget about Tony’s in Mosborough. Now run by his Son. Really nice F&Cs. Always queuing out the door & down the road. Sign of a good chippy
You are right Baz, and I feel suitably ashamed of my Southernist outburst. It won’t happen again What I meant to say is the quality went East Grinstead
Reykjavik has a place called Icelandic Fish and Chips. Not quite like British F&C, they give you lots of different dips for your chips, and you don't eat outside.
