  1. For the first trip of the year away we usually goto Invermill Campsite in Dunkeld. Gives us a chance to set up n give the van a good run.

    This is how it went:

    Dalgety Bay to Dunkeld
    Aprox 1 hour 10 minutes

    Average motorway speed
    80-90kmh

    Average Oil Temp 100-110 *c

    Spotted: 2 Bays

Invermill Campsite £20 per night with hook up.

    Food:
sausage, potatoes & sweetcorn, Crisps & humous, Chocolate , WheetBix, pita bread with ham & humous, black pudding & haggis supper from the chippy, pop corn, beans on toast.

    Drink:
Beers, wine, water, irn bru, fresh orange & diluting orange.

Got great weather but it was Baltic at night. Electric heater needed as I've still to put the vents on my propex.

Tested the 12v leisure battery set up I just fitted .
Ran LED strip lights & two reading lights. Perfect.

8km walk on the Saturday through the Hermitage & Braan Path. Roasting ended up in a T Shirt. Great walk bit busy at the hermitage as the families were doing an Easter egg hunt.

Great weekend. The first of many I hope.

Well done. You realise there are people in the Baltics who say "it was great weather, but Scottish at night" :)

  11. Yeah Dunkeld is great. Handy for us and it's a nice walk into town for food/beer.

Apart from forgetting a few things it went well.

Loving our pop up electric sockets with 12v charger.

  14. Ooh - nice attention to detail - might start writing a camping log myself (so far, I just record where we've been and the mileage covered). Glad you had a good time!

It's just a kitchen pop up socket, you can buy them on line or eBay. I got mine new off gumtree.
