  2. As much as I love Cornwall, I couldn't find anything nice about Looe apart from the little garden outside the tennis club. I have the opportunity to go back there for a reasonable price but can't imagine that I will. What do you like about it? I'm happy to have my opinion changed.

  3. You gotta about another 10 years to go before you get to the point where the sight of yet another computer re-invention fad starts to grate. If someone ever tells me again that this is the best ever and final version control system I'll ever need, well, I may just take @snotty's advice and punch them.

We were still using Sourcesafe when I started. That deserved a kick to the crotch!

  6. Back on thread, if I am ever lucky enough to retire to some lovely holiday destination to live out my dotage, then I might just go cold turkey and not own a computer.

I just like the place. Some do so don’t. Granted my place was just outside Looe in its own grounds, but I still like Looe it has a nice feel about it and lots of our good friends live there.

  9. Looe, just watch out for the seagulls ... the last time we were there watched a seagull swoop down and take an ice cream out of someones hand. Usually the seagulls leave us alone, the one time having two dogs is a bonus.

  10. I think I just struggled to find a good pub that was open for food all day, and had a nice beer garden.

  12. Sourcesafe did the job...-ish. Was a bit crashy/corrupty, probably not what you want in an RCS.

We used to use Perforce, which was much better.

Fuengirola, Costa del Sol. Parents in law owned an apartment. Or Nerja along the coast where a friend of theirs had an apartment we used to use.

Then while we had small kids we used to spend a month or so of weekends in Cowes, Yarmouth and Bembridge over the summer on our boat.

This past few years it has been High Cross, Lutterworth...

  16. One nearer home gotta be the Lakes. When folk ask us where we're going, L. A.
Lakes again then Mick. Just missing caves. The place is brilliant, if a little busy to say the least.
