Father’s Day

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Cloppper, Jun 15, 2019.

  1. Social convention dictates I should be spending some quality time with my kids, a family day out perhaps. And who wouldn’t love that! But, as it’s my ‘special day’, what I’d really like, is for my family to have a lovely day out, a lovely looong day out and leave me in peace to tinker with the sliding door.

How’s your Sunday going to pan out? Think I’m going to some national trust place...with the in-laws...

  5. The boys bought me the last works from The Cranberries on this old shiny plastic thing that has grooves in it.

I shall be missing them :( and playing the shiny plastic thing on my go roundy and round sound maker thing with valves in it...that makes noise in the room rather than wirelessly direct into your lug 'oles.

I suspect the fuss will be made rather than being left to tinker.

I am factoring in a friends 40th birthday tonight and the impending hangover as well... I rarely get to lie in when I have one of those. It’s like some sort of ting yang punishment!

Got no kids so will be doing whatever I want. Or in other words whatever the wife wants me to do.

  15. I suppose I'm lucky my daughter and grandaughter live 200 miles away...if the weather is fine I will be playing with a tub of filler on the drive.
I might be lucky enough for the wife to bring me a brew.

  17. The effort rate from my three boys is pathetic, I generally only get cards if I go out and buy them in advance, to then be begrudgingly signed at some point during the day.

    Bloody kids !

So far, got in about 12.30 last night bloated from beer and curry... tossed and turned all night. Nipper strolled into our room at 6.30 (I swear we can’t peel him out of bed during the week)!

Mrs says “daddy needs a lie in, let’s go down stairs” and I’m thinking - great!! Seconds late I hear “f***ing DOG!!!”

He stole some chocolate yesterday afternoon and it caught up with him overnight... vom everywhere!!

I swear it would be more relaxing waking up in a 2 man tent in a force 10 gale.

    Happy Fathers Day!!

I've never forced anything like Father's Day on Kim. She has gone Scuba diving today, didn't even hear her leave at 6am. I'll be spending most of the day sorting the bloomin' water tank on the camper anyway

She did leave me a present. [IMG]
