Family Trees

Anyone know a good search site that actually works?
Just started to build a family tree on genes re-united and it's Marmitee. It's says my brother is my uncle and my father's my grandfather FFS. It's real carp.
I want to research beyond my grandfather and my mothers family. I don't mind paying for a "proper site" that wil lgive me truthfull results. Anyone?

My cousin uses ancestory.co.uk she got back a good few generations but it's not totally free

 

I used ancestry but it requires work. They also have an app that sort of helps but already had a different system set up and they don't play nice, and no point in double entry. But I got a lot of stuff from the site.

Turns out that I am my own cousin.
