Want to get a new ext hard/ network drive to store all my photos on and access on the I pad and tv share between laptops. Has any body used the ones you plug into your router, how good are they. Was lookin at theWestern Digital my book one.
I have a NAS drive on my network, very handy for sharing media. Mines only basic but gets the job done. Once set up they are very easy to use.
I've used a Western Digital myboook but didn't like it. Now have a 1TB iomega which has music and films on and like that. It's not plugged in to my router but rather my MacMini, although I access it's files from my iPad and laptop. I like it because it has the same footprint as my mini.
