Been at work since 6. Need some wind down time mate. Tomorrow first thing they will be off. No idea what to look for but hopefully it is glaringly obvious.
Only hit straight down on the fins to loosen the barrels... if you have to.... love the fork lift!.. I'd have been happy with a flat area Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
Thanks. Appreciate the moral support. I am on my own here with no local buddies to lend hands. This forum is all I have.
Heads off. It was a little more than 8 bolts. @zedders you are a wally, I actually believed you. Anyway there is a bit of brass debris in cylinder 1, jammed into the head. I will just upload all the photos now. Basically I presume it is a bit of carb component. Think I may just get new carbs for the reason that I am fed up with these ones from day 1. And they are not serviceable in My local tuners. And I have no mates. The other heads looked fine but not sure about the valves. Everything Is sooted up on 1 and 2, 3 and 4 are sooty but one valve on each is discoloured, maybe a temperature issue? 8 (million) bolts later
That engine looks ripe for a complete rebuild, you'll probably find a lot of it is knackered enough not to reuse, though if you never looked it would probably run for a few years yet.
