you didn't change the oil when you did the hx's did you? and strip that strainer bolt thing that attaches to the camshaft casing thing?
no i didnt do anything from above. Pulled hx's off and then refitted. There's not much chance anything fell in the engine from my doing. Something somewhere has failed.
you could remove the tinware. Maybe a screw or screwdiver is/ has got into the fan housing / alternator, jamming as it goes round 1/2 cycle. Taking tinware off wont take long, and its got to come off anyway. Clutching at straws really.
Hi PSG ..must say i am sure i can see a line of carbon spray at the side of your manifold ...up near the nuts ...on the right hand side . I had that and it back fired . But i suppose that's the least of your worrys now . Hope all goes well
U Yeah i have done all that. Was on the test run when it decided to play up. At least i know the h/x's are sorted lol. Hopefully i can find the problem without splitting the case. But hope isnt reality. . . we will see.
Boxes full of bits .. more labels and list that you think you need and photos of where things were before are good... specially if you're as forgetful as me... and your yoke is arriving tomorrow Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
My engine stand also arrived today too. I have labelled a lot of it already I remember last time lol. Food bags are what I use normally but forgot them this morning
Food bags are good with little numbered tags in and a long list to match which you get too oily to read... Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Hopefully there will be others along to for advice on how to go about this as otherwise I am just going to take it apart with no idea lol.
I feel like I will remember most bits. But I'm sure there will.be a few lost ends. I am Uber para oid that I am going to fahk this up
You'll be reet...just don't drop the heads and dent the sealing face or smash something against the piston and jam the compression ring in place.. .. it'll back in and running in no time Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
I dropped an m5 washer down a carb once. Bang when I turned it over, bang when I tried again, just to be sure. I have no idea how it got there, but it must have been me! But I reckon one of your pistons is in pieces or a conrod is falling apart.
