They didn't come with the 'kit' , and the kit only has one gasket for that area per side, but the instructions say to fit them and show two gaskets per side. Not sure what to do. Do you recommend fitting them or shall I just add them later?

  2. Its a bit poor really as carbed engines are pretty far and few beteeen outside of the classic enthusiast world you would think they would be keen to hold thier market share of custom.

If the instructions with the kit show them, complain that they are missing. Eurocarb need a kick up the arse.

Ok, so i have checked all the jets, they arent far off this setup you have mentioned -

    Main - 145
    Air Correct - 160
    Idle - 55
Emulsion F78 - soon to be F6 when they arrive

Just need the spacers to go between the carb and manifolds now, they werent in the package that arrived.

When they sell the kit it's not the rubbish empi linkage kit - so they say.

I've not used them myself yet but the guy who did my rolling road gets all his stuff from them.

As a general comment on linkages...

Centre mount for the win. Why?

What happens if, say you find you have a blocked jet or float valve problem?

Centre mount, off with the filter and carb top if needed, linkage not disturbed, balance not disturbed. It's not attached to the carb apart from operating it. Makes life simple, sort the problem and off you go with no messing.

"Hi Paul (my name's phil lol)

These are there to lift the carbs. up to avoid fouling the alternator on the Type 1 engines, they are not on the T4 kit as you can see from the picture on our website:

    http://www.dellorto.co.uk/shop/vw-c...r-kits/type-4-weber-ict34-kit-cb-performance/

They are not great insulators as they are aluminium, but if you want them we have them here:

    http://www.dellorto.co.uk/shop/vw-c...-dual-34ict-carburetor-kits/ict-spacer-riser/

We don't normally find that heat is a problem but you could buy these if you think you need them:

    http://www.dellorto.co.uk/shop/webe...arts/ict-parts/ict-frd-fzd-thick-base-gasket/

Please contact me again if you need further details."

  19. If you think you can re-purpose the big one piece thick base of manifold isolating spacers that come in gasket sets I've got some spare you can have a go at...
