Engine lid hot

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by VDubvan, Aug 18, 2019.

  1. I might be being paranoid (which I am all the time), but after a drive to Edinburgh from Newcastle my engine lid seemed hot.
It was raining, I did it in one go at about 55mph when possible so about 125.

I didn't have this concern after doing some big miles in France in 32 degrees, is this normal or do I need to investigate something, or am I being mental?

Fan belt and everything is all good, and the "save my bug" light didn't come on, which it did in France so it works.

  3. I'll stop flapping then.

There should be a thread for daft questions such as the above that don't really warrant a thread,
