WANTED Engine for a crossover 72 Bay

    Woody's old 73 blue Devon ran a 2332 type 1 for donkeys years on Dell 45's. That was one very well looked after motor on what could be one of the best buses around. The bus was just looked after, pity it got sold on :(

  2. Wow, amazing, the potential problem is that above 90.5mm bore the cylinder walks are a bit thin and can warp if the engine gets too hot. That was obviously one well looked after engine :)

    It was (and I hope still is) a totally un-welded bus, I think the paint had a blow over but that was only a gentle coat not a full on respray. Woody took a few of us out in it way back and it really did run well but it was kept on form.

    As you say, the walls are a touch thin which has the potential to warpage.

    My Bug has as 76x90.5 in it, full flow, balanced and ported, short manifolds, twin48 gas guzzlers and capable of scaring the living daylights out of me, 2232 in a Bus would be a blast.
