Electrolux RM212 3 way Fridge Gas Problems

  1. Any help with this issue:

RM212 not working on gas (campingaz)

    Had the main burner/jet refurbished

New Piezo igniter provides a good spark

Main control valve been removed and cleaned - appears do work fine..

All lines have been blasted with compressed air and seem clear , however it will just not light.

Fridge is currently out of van on work bench and connected direct to the gas bottle ( full)

Correct me if I’m wrong but it looks a relatively simple operation. :

Depress main control valve - Spark - Ignight- flame...

  2. Nearly. You need to hold the main control valve down for a while to allow the flame to heat up the thermocouple. Then it should stay on. Takes maybe 20 sec sometimes on mine.

Can you actually see a flame when you ignite? Sometimes I've had to hold a lighted match to the gas jet when I've not used it for a while.

  3. Hi Andy
Problem is , I’m not getting it to ignite.
I have depressed the main control valve for up to 5 mins , just cannot get it to ignite...

  4. Is gas getting to the ignition point? Taps open? Mine has a little stainless steel mirror in it so you can see the flame, and also the spark. You have to grovel on the floor to see this in the back of the fridge in your model I think.

  5. If you take the knob off and put a small packer about 2 mm thick in the hole in the knob then put it back on. Then push n try again . I had similar prob with mine and it’s the thermo couple needs to open up enough . Give it a try . I used but of cotton wool rolled into a small ball and then popped knob back on

  7. How did you fix it??

  8. ^^^ Yes do tell!

I have a nightmare everytime trying to get it to light, I've yet to get the knack of getting it to fire up. Long presses followed by single and multiple presses of the igniter and various combos don't seem to work and then it will randomly just catch..
