Well folks, anyone interested in heading over to this next month? Both Dun Laoghaire and Rosslare ports are roughly 1hour from the starting point.
Forgive what may be a stupid question but do i need a passport to come over from the uk? This is somthing i have on my bucket list
Don't think so. Only when flying. You will need at least your drivers licence or some other form of ID though at the port. Also make sure your insurance covers you while here. We do get UK busses each year so it's not overly complicated.
Did Ireland August last year. Was a doddle. You can even take your dog across the pond with no need for vaccinations/pet passports etc. Although I did get probed by customs on the way back. Got asked if I was carrying anything for anyone... 5Kg of Toblerone from Duty Free...
