DUBTOBERFEST 2015

This was the first Dubtoberfest that the organizers had put on. It was brilliant!
Large flat camping area, serviced toilets, good German beer and food, Segways to have a spin on, kids area, as well as the usual suspects. Indie rock cover band on Friday night, it's unique selling point, a Bavarian Ompah band on Saturday and even a rock and roll band on Sunday afternoon with it's show and shine.
Great family atmosphere and one hell of a party on Saturday. Can't wait until next year.

 

That looks like a good show. Isn't it a bit 'early' for an Octoberfest?

 

With it being a disused airfield, a local club were flying these remote control jets all day.

 

Now for the unique selling point, a cracking beerfest party.

 

It is but who really wants to camp and walk around in lederhosen in October?

Bit of a good weekend there

 

Very good indeed.
I spoke to the organisers and they really wanted the event to be spot on with something for everyone and a good party on Saturday night. Indie covers band on Friday and open air rock and roll band on Sunday afternoon. They worked real hard all weekend to iron out any issues and were always running around and available and it showed. Full credit to them.
Definitely putting this on the calendar next year.
