The show was just what it always is, a place to buy stuff for dubs and a chilled out atmosphere. As I said elsewhere, it's the first of the year a chance to meet friends you haven't seen for a while and an early opportunity to buy stuff off the shelf for the winter projects. It isn't a all singing all dancing razzmataz show, but a chilled out event that has it's own vibe. Perfect for me, although not enough autojumble stalls for my liking, but I love autojumbles so, I'm biased towards them.
Was ok for me, only thing i don't like is the rip off bacon bap wagon outside, c'on £5 for a Bacon bap, if I was nt a food garbage disposal machine , i would of waited till the doors opened for the show, but i was awake from 6 am, One food stall at a local charity car event only charge £3:50 for a bacon n egg bap, But the show was good, Cars/vans for sale, Auto Jumble, and traders, no cash machine.... I wanted to purchase some panel piece for my bay 225 - discount they had no card reader, £40 quid for delivery on line, ill wait
The guy that organised it Terry Ball has asked for our opinions on the show - good and bad It’s the first year the show has been solely under his control and he will take all comments seriously and try and make any required changes.. I got everything I wanted to get from going - a new key, an exhaust, a rubber thingy and a stonking great big hangover
We didn’t go this year as the current Mrs T refused to queue up like last year in the line that was from the car park through the underpass and up the other side to the kiosk. Took well over an hour and half to get in last year and it was a tad cold and damp which resulted in a very fractious atmosphere for me from the wife and kids as I was the one that wanted to go. What were the queues like this year?
didnt look too bad, but if you camp the night before you get your wristband and can walk straight in!!

We arrived about 9.20 ish. Walked from the car park field, under the road and right up to the hall before we saw a queue. Queued for about 5 mins to get in. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
Well I never knew that bloody queue..that said, if I had walked straight in I'd have missed the sticker stall, who happened to have an old Santa Cruz sticker which got damaged when we broke one of the side windows
I would say that the event worked well, I would have appreciated a map/leaflet showing which facilities were open when and where on the site they were. The event had a reasonable swapmeet, but I would say there were three times as many stalls in twice the space in Slough (elbow room only in Slough) for example. But I did get a working alternator for a good price in the swapmeet, and I felt the trade stands were about the same as last year. There were empty spaces on the balcony but that was because there were fewer shiny cars occupying floor space. A success for me, worth the 150 mile drive up.
